What's an overrated trend in India?
We are living in a world which latches on to an infinite multitude of fads or trends. The most critical and hysterical thing about these short-lived fads is that it spreads like a chain reaction and people buy into it without rationalizing and giving some time to understand what the fuss is really all about? Some of the most overrated trends in India
Importing all the bucket load of shit from the West. Culture is the real identity of people, society, place, nation and lifestyle. It is the culture that defines who we are, how we behave, how we live and how we proceed in our lives.
India has been known for its vastness in culture. Our culture is very old and dates back to almost thousands of years. We people are very much adhered to the culture and tradition of our ancestors and simultaneously adopt new trends and culture in order to go neck-to-neck with the current world.

But from the last 20-30 odd decades it has been observed that many of the people specially the teenagers are adopting and living the Western “Kiki do you love me?” is a spectacular example to assert how gullible and stupid we have become.

  • The few girls who are trying very hard to be Social Justice Warriors and hardcore feminists but they end up appearing fool only. For them, equality means equality in smoking, drinking, using cuss language, and wearing non-nonsensical outfits just to emphasize that it is their body and their choice without any regard for the real women issues such as education parity, financial independence, role in decision making. Overemphasizing the right to wear short clothes and intoxicating yourself and casual sexual encounters don’t cater to the real problems that the majority of womenfolk faces in India. These flag bearers of pseudo feminism need to get some perspective in place.

  • Bollywood stars and movies are highly overrated in India. A large section of Indians forms their perspective and understanding based on influence from Bollywood garbage. Boys feel it is right to harass a girl until she pays you her due attention and approval. Girls become prey to wrong beauty ideals and damage their bodies and skin alike trying to mimic their favorite celebrities. Indian perspective and understanding of love with the opposite sex are deeply flawed, thanks to the Utopian understanding of love catered and taught by the Bollywood movies. The over consumption of this garbage has resulted in a generation which is depressed as fuck, heartbroken and always a victim.
